Historic Environment Scotland (HES), the Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland (AHSS) and BEFS will host a day of discussions focussing on Conservation Areas, their management, designation and exploring their role in creating good places.

This event is aimed at anyone with a role in decision making within a Conservation Area, Local Authority officers and policy makers.

Topics will include:

Roadmapping – Exploring conservation area policies for the future; what do we have and what do we need?

Placemaking – what good places look like; how do Conservation Areas contribute to good places?

Reality and Resources – how can Local Authorities deliver good places?
