Cornwall Museums Partnership – Take on a Capital Project with Confidence (Days 3 & 4)
6 February - 7 February£980
Professionals in the heritage sector have the chance to embark on a Capital development project with increased knowledge and support, thanks to a masterclass running in Cornwall this winter.
Cornwall Museums Partnership will run its Firm Foundations programme between November 2019 and February 2020. Participants attend four face-to-face workshop days and have access to expert webinars and remote one-to-one support in between, over a four month period.
Days one and two will be at Pentillie Castle, St. Mellion on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th November 2019. Days three and four will be at Trelissick, Feock, on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th February 2020. The course costs £980 per person and two bursaries are being offered for free places.
The masterclass has been specifically designed for those about to take on a capital project. The course offers delegates the chance to hear from respected professionals who will cover a wide range of topics, from procurement and project management, to risk management and contracting.
Participants will be able to share ideas and challenges in a supportive, confidential environment and draw support from experts and peers.
Delegates on Firm Foundations will gain the knowledge and skills required to deliver a large and complex project, rather than entering into the process knowing little about the challenges they will face.
Investing in this course is likely to reduce risk to the company and demonstrate to funders an organisation’s commitment to delivering a sustainable and impactful project.
There are a limited number of places on the course to ensure all participants have the opportunity to share their specific plans with the industry experts on a one-to-one basis.
The course is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and delivered by Cornwall Museums Partnership, in partnership with K2 Funding.
