DCMS & UKRI – Horizon Europe for Creative and Cultural Sectors

The Economic & Social Research Council and the Arts and Humanities Research Council of UK Research and Innovation, in association with the Department for Digital Culture Media and Sport, host a webinar on Horizon Europe Research Funding on Tuesday 10 August, 2021 between 1pm – 3pm. The online event will provide attendees with an introduction to the funding opportunities that Horizon Europe offers to the Arts, Heritage, and Creative Industries sectors.

Lord Neil Mendoza, Commissioner for Cultural Recovery and Renewal and Professor Christopher Smith, Executive Chair for AHRC, will jointly open the engagement session. The programme will cover the three pillars of Horizon Europe: 1) Excellent Science, 2) Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness and 3) Innovative Europe. The aim of the session is to help organisations in understanding the potential opportunities and avenues for engaging with Horizon Europe.

Horizon Europe, the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation and is open to applications from cultural organisations, research institutions and freelancers. Applicants do not need to be an Independent Research Organisation (IRO) nor have an affiliation to an IRO.
