ICOMOS-UK – Planning for the Conservation of the Palace of Westminster

15 October 2019 - 12:30 - 13:30

£10

The new Palace of Westminster Conservation Management Plan is now nearing completion. It has been fifteen years since the previous Conservation Plan was adopted, and in that time both the vulnerabilities of heritage, and understanding of the significance of the Palace have evolved.

The Conservation Management Plan is designed to be easy to use, and will work alongside the Parliamentary Estate’s digital management systems to guide the future husbandry of the building and the collections that it houses.

The lecture will provide an overview of conservation policies for the Palace of Westminster, and describe how conservation management will be integral to the Palace of Westminster BIM model.

The price of the ticket includes light refreshments.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
