NHIG – Surveying & Recording Historic Ironwork

This one-day course, in the beautiful surroundings of Buscot & Coleshill Estates (National Trust) in Gloucestershire, will guide you through the process of surveying historic ironwork and recording findings to create a condition report.

After a morning looking at example formats and case studies, the afternoon will be dedicated to practical application on two sets of gates within the estate.

Course led by Rowan Taylor (AWCB), conservation blacksmith, teacher, and NHIG bursary scheme graduate.
