NHTG – Understanding the Repair and Maintenance of Traditional (Pre-1919) Buildings

Are you studying construction or a contractor working on traditional buildings? Would you like to find out more about repairing and maintaining old buildings? Then this is the ideal course for you! The NHTG are grateful to The B & CE Charitable Trust, who have awarded a grant for this two-day, CITB accredited course, it would normally cost £400 to attend this course, but because of the grant it is free.

The course will cover:
• Understand how to repair and maintain traditional buildings
• Understand relevant legislation and guidance
• Traditional materials and methods
• Maintaining safe working practices

The course, is aimed at students, contractors and craftspeople working on traditional buildings, it will help them to understand vital conservation principals and legislation requirements and considerations crucial for the appropriate care and repair of old buildings. Priority spaces will be given to those who are at the beginning of their built heritage careers.

The course, delivered by industry experts and accredited by CITB, is worth two mandatory units towards Heritage NVQ Level 3 diploma, which can lead onto a Gold Heritage CSCS card.
