Scotland Branch – CPD Activities and AGM

The AGM will fall between an optional itinerary of suggested CPD activities as follows:

 

From late morning or starting from around 1pm or 1.30pm an optional special group tour at the Mitchell Library to see city archives material (TBC) on the Glasgow School of Art among other choice items in the architectural drawing records.  For lunch, buying your own at the Mitchell café, https://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/libraries/venues/the-mitchell-library or going nearby; then to

 

Browse the collections prior to catching any Low Level train from Charing Cross to High St, for example, at 3.15pm or 3.22pm, OR setting off by foot earlier through the city centre grid

Convene at Glasgow City Heritage Trust, 54 Bell St, Glasgow, G1 1LQ (the AGM venue) to view “Tenement: An Architectural History” https://www.glasgowheritage.org.uk/tenement-an-architectural-history-2/ – architectural drawings from original research by Architect John Joseph Burns, where exploded axonometrics detail tenement types from Glasgow’s past; with pre-AGM refreshments: tea coffee biscuits starting from 4pm; and where the 4.30pm AGM will conclude at 5.30pm; and then optionally

 

From 6pm sharp at The Lighthouse, 11 Mitchell Lane, Glasgow, G1 3NU, the 22nd Annual Plenderleith Memorial Lecture put on by the Icon Scotland Group “After the dust has settled – rediscovering the spirit of the Mackintosh” from Liz Davidson IHBC, Hon FRIAS, OBE can be attended if booking fast for the remaining tickets at https://icon.org.uk/events/the-22nd-annual-plenderleith-memorial-lecture-0
