    • Common Software
    • BIM formats. Proprietary or open format
    • Introduction to IFC
  • A basic outline of the main standards relating to BIM; ISO19650 & ISO12006, Uniclass and why they are important when adopting BIM,
    • ISO 19650 sets standard framework to work within when adopting BIM and producing information,
    • ISO 12006 sets out the framework for classification of elements Uniclass is the UK implementation of this standard.
  • HBIM how building information modelling can be used in the care & Conservation of historic buildings.
    • Recording of listed features
    • Recording of changes to fabric over time
    • Producing working drawings for refurbishment
    • Recording elements that need to be maintained with links to further information,
    • Identification & explanation of complicated constructions/work sequences
    • HBIM or point clouds scans and photogrammetry?
