Join us for a new interactive online workshop to hone your tone, find the right tools for the job and become a master-text builder! If you are new to heritage interpretation or just want to brush up on your skills this is the workshop for you. Through participating in creative activities, you will gain the confidence and skills to write copy that starts a conversation with your audiences.

On booking, you will be sent an activity pack in the post, full of creative resources to use during the workshop. This includes a project ‘blueprint’ setting out the different stages to building good interpretive content and five activities exploring the who, why, and how of text craft.

Learning objectives

• Introduction to the key principles of interpretive storytelling in heritage spaces
• Identify what makes a good text (and avoid the pitfalls of bad examples!)
• Understand the needs and tastes of different audiences
• Explore new approaches to using language
• Be creative with word-crafting
• Edit and proofread text example
