Speaker details:

Hans Norling is the director of Masonry & Lime Ltd. Masonry & Lime Ltd was born in 2010 and has since then worked its way to the top of traditional masonry companies in Scotland. They have done work for The National Trust for Scotland , for example, at Glenfinnan Monument and Drum Castle, been main contractors for work at Balmoral Castle, and carried out work at numerous private castles such as Cawdor Castle and Aldourie Castle. Their work covers the whole of Scotland, even thought the company’s head office is in Elgin, Morayshire.

Masonry & Lime provided instructors at The Scottish Traditional Skills Training Centre from 2011 until the centre closed in 2020, the company has also been involved in delivering training for other organisations across Scotland and continues to deliver training when the opportunity is given.

In his career Hans has developed a very good understanding of how traditional buildings function. Hans has drawn experience and knowledge from top architects and structural engineers and now has a good relationship with the best in the industry.
