For the past four years and thanks to the Friends of Glasgow Necropolis, the students of the MSc in Architectural Design for the Conservation of Built Heritage at the University of Strathclyde have been monitoring the condition of the Monteath Mausoleum.  Inspired by this work, one of the students have also recently secured a Research Excellence PhD scholarship from the university for research on stone decay.  This seminar will present the methodologies, specialisms involved and outcomes so far from this work, and includes a presentation by one of the contributors to the MSc, Professor Alberto Viskovic, a leading conservation engineer.
