Surveying the Condition and Assessing the Conservation, Repair & Maintenance Requirements of Traditional Buildings.

This 2 day course, encompassing both classroom based and on-site work, will provide those attending with an understanding of the skills and techniques involved in surveying the condition and assessing the conservation, repair and maintenance requirements of a wide range of Traditional and Historic Buildings. In addition to Fyvie Castle and Fyvie Kirk, both of which are in excellent condition, a number of other Buildings on the Estate in varying states of repair will be surveyed, in order to enable those attending to gain an understanding of the breadth of design, detail and materials used in the construction of Traditional Buildings as well as in meeting their conservation, repair and maintenance requirements.
