In this fourth presentation as part of Aberdeen Heritage Lectures, Ian will provide an overview of several of the many international charters and national guidelines that advise and support the protection of our mutual heritage and offer some examples of how these may affect the manner a place is conserved.

Professor Ian Davidson is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Heritage Consultant with almost 40 years’ experience in Conservation. His consultancy specialises in offering support to cultural heritage projects through conservation planning and his many clients include the National Trust for Scotland, Local Authorities, Community Trusts, Museums and private clients at home and abroad.
