IHBC East Midlands IHBC25 Event Flyer

We are finalising details for a #IHBC25 event in the East Midlands. Rather than use the time to include a peripatetic branch meeting, this year we will be using the full day as a CPD event based around recent research, current National Trust projects, and the approach to conservation at Hardwick Hall.

We will have opportunity to hear from project team members on aspects of the work including the Conservation Management Plan, building history and building archaeology, as well as an introductory reflection on the IHBC as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. Not only that, we will also have opportunity to undertake tours of the Hall to see some of the conservation issues and solutions, first hand.

A full itinerary and list of speakers will be provided closer to the event. The day is likely to embrace all areas of competence, but the key competences will be 1 Philosophy, 2 Practice, 3 History, 4 Research, Recording and Analysis and, 8 Technology.

The event is open to members and family of members.  Members rate £15, and family members £20

A bursary of up to 75% of the event cost is available from branch for:
a) unwaged, and or a student on a conservation course, or
b) new entrants to the profession (under five years full time employment) and/ or
c) employed but whose employer is unable/unwilling to fund CPD
