The Engine Shed is a dynamic hub of digital innovation, heritage science, and an accredited training centre supporting the work of Historic Environment Scotland.

Join us to discover what’s inside and to gain an insight into the world of conservation, heritage, and traditional crafts from the individuals who work here and across Scotland.

• Learn about the traditional skills vital to protecting Scotland’s buildings and monuments.
• Hear from our Trainees about pathways and current projects including Architecture, High Level Masonry and Responsible Tourism.
• Explore our labs and the scientific techniques that help us maintain and protect our living heritage.
• See the digital resources we use, including a giant 3D printer, a Digital Imaging Lab and ‘The Howff’, our cutting-edge immersive hub.

This event is aimed at individuals currently studying at University, college or within linked sectors, who are interested in entering the Heritage Sector.

We’ll have three sessions running and tickets are available on Eventbrite:

• 9.30am – 11.30am
• 12.00pm – 2.00pm
• 2.30pm -4.30pm
