Historic Churches Conference 2019

This year’s Historic Churches Committees’ Conference will be held on Thursday 23 May 2019 at Cornerstone, opposite Cardiff Cathedral. Registration and refreshments will be from 10am and the Conference will start at 10.30am prompt. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 8 May.

N.B. There is no parking at the venue.

Cost:  The cost of the Conference is £50 per head (or £78 including the dinner & service charge on 22nd May). If you would like to pay by cheque please email for details of who to make the cheque payable to and where to send it. Closing date for applications is Wednesday 8 May 2019.

11:10 Taking Stock in Wales (and England):A Retrospective – Andrew Derrick, Director, Architectural History Practice.
11:40 Recording Contents: Rising to the Challenge – James Crowley, Secretary Wales and Hereford HCC.
12:10 Questions, discussion and demonstration of the national Catholic Historic Churches website.
12:30 Lunch.
14:00 The 3rd Marquess of Bute, William Burgess and Cardiff Castle – Christopher Catling, Secretary of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales.
14:20 Leave for Castle.
14:30 Private tours of Cardiff Castle.
16:00 Tours will have finished. You are welcome to explore the rest of the Castle at your leisure.
