Listed Building Owners Forum: Conservation Principles

The Department for Communities (DfC), Historic Environment Division is hosting a series of lunchtime talks focussing on how owners and custodians interact with and sustain their heritage buildings. The talks are aimed at those who live in, use and take care of listed buildings either directly or indirectly; but everyone with an interest is welcome.

These talks are an opportunity to learn about some important issues which matter both to owners and the wider community, so that everyone can keep enjoying these special buildings into the future. The talks will cover the following topics –

Week 2: Conservation Principles

Last year we delivered a public consultation on our Conservation Principles Guidance and we will be talking about what these principles mean when change is proposed, and how we use them to work out how listed buildings can work for us while retaining their special character.
