The Yorkshire Society – Yorkshire Heritage Symposium
11 May - 10:00 - 17:00
£10Part of the Yorkshire Heritage Summit weekend of events, the Symposium is a full day of presentations, debate and open discussion on a range of issues and projects related to the local and wider Yorkshire. Panel discussions closing both the morning and afternoon sessions will allow delegates to put their questions to experts and speakers.
Also included in a packed day is the presentation of the Harry Gration History Prize to the winners of this prestigious history research and essay writing competition, sponsored by University of Huddersfield.
This event runs alongside the free to enter Yorkshire Heritage Exhibition, with 50 organisations and their work to promote and protect Yorkshire’s heritage on display. And outside, all day, there will be a fantastic farmers market. All combine to make this a not-to-be-missed event for anyone interested in Yorkshire’s heritage and culture, in one of its most important and historical cities.
