Wentworth Woodhouse is one of the great stately homes of England, largely unknown, as until recently it has remained in private ownership and not been open to the public.

As the seat of the Stafford Wentworth Fitzwilliam dynasty it was a Whig powerhouse in the eighteenth century.

In 2017 it was acquired by the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust to save for the nation.

Bookings are now open for a visit to the Mansion and Gardens with their many monuments.
